Air Compressor Heat Recovery Calculator
Compressed air gives off heat. Without a compressed air heat recovery system, your plant will simply dispose of this excess heat when as much as 80% of it can be recovered and used for plant heating, process heating, hot water and other applications which provide an appropriate heat sink. This also reduces the load on the cooling tower.

1. The calculated estimated savings are estimates only and not guaranteed by Enbridge. The accuracy of this calculation is dependent upon the accuracy of the variables entered into the calculator and the relevancy of the assumptions used in the calculation to your specific facility (see assumptions below for details). For a more accurate savings estimate contact an Enbridge Energy Solutions Consultant.
2. Assumptions: The building has the required heat sink to use the available heat supplied by the compressor and the compressor and ducting system can adequately transfer heat to that sink, typical heating system efficiency and natural gas costs are estimated at $0.25/m3.
