Does the suspension lift impact the Enbridge Gas Smart Thermostat $75 instant rebate?

Since our Smart Thermostat instant rebate does not include an in-home component—such as an energy audit or contractor visit—this program continues to operate as-is. Eligible Enbridge Gas customers may continue to apply for the instant $75 rebate towards a qualifying smart thermostat purchase.

Yes. To minimize non-essential outings during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, you may purchase your smart thermostat online instead of in-store. First, request your instant rebate from Enbridge Gas. Can I purchase my smart thermostat at Home Depot?

In accordance with COVID-19 measures implemented by the Government of Ontario, Home Depot stores had been closed to customer entry as of Sunday, April 5, 2020, and were reopened as of Saturday, May 9. During this timeframe, the Smart Thermostat instant rebate was not available for redemption at Home Depot stores. However, Enbridge Gas customers could continue to redeem their coupons online at the Ecobee, Nest or Emerson websites, and have the smart thermostat delivered directly to their home. As of May 9, the Smart Thermostat instant rebate is once again available both in Home Depot stores and on manufacturer websites.

During Home Depot store closures, why couldn’t I purchase my smart thermostat from Home Depot’s website?

The Enbridge Gas Smart Thermostat instant rebate can be redeemed in-store at Home Depot, but cannot be redeemed on homedepot.ca at this time. Unfortunately, Home Depot’s website does not currently accept coupon codes.
