IMPORTANT PROGRAM UPDATE: Effective November 1, 2018, homeowners who heat their home with oil, propane, wood or electricity will no longer qualify for the Home Energy Conservation (HEC) Program as the Whole Home Pilot with the Government of Ontario and Save on Energy is ending. Homeowners who heat their homes with oil, propane, wood or electricity must complete their pre-assessment by October 31, 2018, and have their post-assessment completed within 120 days to be eligible for the Home Energy Conservation Program. Also effective November 1, 2018 any additional electrical incentives offered as part of Save on Energy’s Whole Home pilot will no longer be offered as part of the HEC program. How Do I Get Started?
To get started, call one of our Registered Energy Advisors or complete our online application to pre-qualify you for your first energy assessment. This assessment of your home’s current energy use is a quick, easy process. It will reveal areas where you can make improvements (called retrofits) to lower your energy bills and increase home comfort.
To qualify for the Home Energy Conservation (HEC) program:
i) The homeowner agrees he/she will not participate in any other gas or building envelope program (s) offered by parties outside of Enbridge Gas Distribution Inc., between the Initial Assessmentand the Final Assessment and
ii) The homeowner confirms he/she has not applied for, not will apply in the future for, rebates/incentives from other energy efficiency/conservation programs (including GreenON) for the same qualifying energy efficiency improvements for which the homeowner is eligible to receive incentives through the HEC Program.
